BMU-UG San Diego deal

New delhi, july 8. BML Munjal University (BMU) signed a partnership agreement with the University of California San Diego (UC San Diego), a globally acclaimed public research university, to build global academic bridges, generate research opportunities and equip Indian students for the future. The partnerships will enable BMU and UC San Diego to co-develop study programmes in artificial intelligence, data science, innovation, medtech, and entrepreneurship.

“This partnership will help BMU strengthen its credentials and solidify its position as an institution offering a global learning ecosystem. It will help our students emerge as future-ready tech leaders and changemakers to make impact across disciplines, domains, and nations,” said Sunil Kant Munjal, Chancellor of BMU, speaking on the occasion.

Added Pradeep K. Khosla, Chancellor of UC San Diego: “We intend to empower students not merely to adapt to the future but to shape it. We will open doors for young minds across geographies to come together, think boldly, and lead responsibly in a world that demands agility and depth.”

ECE-Presidency concordat

Mumbai, july 8. The Paris-based ECE Engineering School (estb.1919), globally renowned for its expertise in technology innovation, signed a strategic academic partnership with the Bengaluru-based private Presidency University. In particular, the agreement introduces dual Masters degrees and pathway programmes in emerging disciplines such as artificial intelligence, data management, technology and innovation, entrepreneurship, cybersecurity, and sustainable energy.

“International mobility is a core part of the ECE experience. All our students are required to spend at least one semester abroad, and we are proud to welcome students from our global partners to our campuses in France, contributing to providing a truly international education,” said Ana Barbaric, Head of International Relations at ECE Engineering School.

Added Dr. Sivperumal, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Director of International Relations Affairs at Presidency: “This partnership opens exciting new avenues for our students to experience global best practices in engineering and innovation, while also bringing international peers into our vibrant academic ecosystem. We believe this agreement will equip our students to acquire global perspective and cross-cultural skills essential for success in today’s interconnected world.”

MU-Hiroshima U partnership

Hyderabad/new delhi, july 7. Mahindra University (MU), Hyderabad signed a strategic partnership agreement with Hiroshima University, Japan. Under terms of the agreement, the two universities will jointly promote academic excellence, research & innovation, and cross-cultural exchanges.

“This agreement marks a significant milestone in MU’s quest to internationalise education, enabling our engineering students to spend their final year at Hiroshima University. This will enrich their academic growth and intercultural understanding,” said Dr. Yajulu Medury, Vice Chancellor, Mahindra University, speaking on the occasion.

Added Dr. Mitsuo Ochi, President of Hiroshima University: “It is with great pleasure that we welcome MU into Hiroshima University’s global academic network.”

JGU’s new MOUs

Cambridge (united kingdom), july 3. To deepen international academic partnerships with world-renowned education institutions, O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Lucy Cavendish and Murray Edwards colleges of Cambridge University, UK. These MoUs were signed when a high-level JGU delegation visited Cambridge University last summer.

Under terms of the memoranda, JGU will launch two short-term study abroad programmes (STSAPs) in Commercial Laws and Corporate Governance at Lucy Cavendish College and FinTech: Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, and Digital Inclusion at Murray Edwards College.

“Partnering with two of Cambridge University’s most forward-looking colleges underscores JGU’s deep commitment to global academic engagement and inclusive excellence. These MoUs are more than ceremonial; they represent a shared mission to shape the future of education by empowering the next generation of scholars and professionals,” said Prof. (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar, Founding Vice Chancellor of JGU, speaking on the occasion.

AI Academy launch

Delhi, july 10. As Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (GenAI) continue to disrupt job roles, EY India, an affiliate of the New York-based business consultancy with affiliated firms in 150 countries worldwide, has launched AI Academy, to support enterprises to build critical AI skills and capabilities required in an AI-driven global business landscape.
