A 35-member Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) and edtech delegation, representing 24 companies, is in New Delhi for a week-long visit to explore partnership opportunities in India’s education and skilling sectors.

The delegation includes Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), TAFEs, non-university higher education providers, audio-visual system providers, and education management organisations. Australian institutions are showcasing their offerings at the Australia Pavilion at DIDAC India 2025, taking place from 18 to 20 November.

The visit is coordinated by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) in collaboration with Global Victoria, Investment New South Wales, and Trade and Investment Queensland.

During the visit, the delegation will meet Indian government agencies, industry bodies, and education stakeholders across schools and higher education institutions. Discussions will focus on collaboration in curriculum design, technology-enabled learning, and pathways supporting lifelong learning.

Australia is recognised for its industry-linked vocational training system, regulatory standards, and scalable delivery models. The country also has a growing edtech sector offering solutions across various education segments.

Vik Singh, Trade and Investment Commissioner at Austrade, said: “Education is a strong pillar in our bilateral relationship. Australia’s strengths in industry-focused vocational education align closely with India’s national priorities in skill development, employability, and education reform. By organising the delegation visit, we reaffirm our commitment to strengthening Australia–India collaboration in skills development.”
