Greenwood High hosts CISCE National Chess Championship 2025

Greenwood High proudly hosted the CISCE National Chess Championship on 22 September 2025, welcoming over 500 players, coaches and officials from fourteen regions across India.

The event commenced with a grand inaugural ceremony, graced by Chief Guest Woman International Master Saritha Reddy and several distinguished dignitaries. The ceremony featured a vibrant cultural showcase by Greenwood High students, including dance, yoga and music performances that captivated the audience.

A key highlight of the day was the procession of national chess champions, reflecting pride, discipline and sportsmanship. Team leaders took an oath to uphold the values of integrity and fair play, setting the tone for the championship.

The campus buzzed with enthusiasm and camaraderie as participants and guests celebrated their shared passion for chess, making it a truly memorable day for Greenwood High.
