Imarticus Learning launches India’s first School of Finance and Business

IPO-bound Imarticus Learning, one of India’s leading professional education companies, has launched the Imarticus School of Finance & Business (ISFB) — the country’s first institution dedicated to creating job-ready finance talent.

India produces over a million commerce graduates each year, yet fewer than 10 per cent are deemed employable in finance roles. ISFB aims to bridge this gap through practical, industry-led and globally relevant education.

“India doesn’t lack graduates — it lacks graduates who are ready for the changing finance industry,” said Nikhil Barshikar, founder of Imarticus Learning and Chairman of ISFB’s Advisory Council. “ISFB was created to fix that.”

Located at Hiranandani Knowledge Park in Powai, Mumbai, the school will initially offer a three-year Bachelor’s in Finance & Business, followed by an 11-month Postgraduate Programme in Global Finance & AI. Its distinctive R.E.A.L. (Reflect, Experience, Apply, Learn) model emphasises experiential learning through trading labs, M&A simulations, and case studies led by experts from IIMs, ISB, and Ivy League institutions.

Students will also participate in international immersions at SP Jain School of Global Management in Singapore, bootcamps at IIM Visakhapatnam, and grassroots development projects under the Explore India Mission.

To ensure strong industry alignment, ISFB has partnered with Ambit, Motilal Oswal, and Cognizant to co-design specialised finance and digital learning modules. Additionally, a ₹25 crore venture fund, launched in collaboration with BLinC Invest, will provide seed funding for student-led startups.

For those pursuing global education, ISFB has teamed up with Ambitio, an AI-powered platform assisting students in applying to top international business schools including NYU, Cambridge, and MIT.

The school will be led by Joy Parekh as CEO, with an Advisory Council co-chaired by Ajay Srinivasan, former CEO of Aditya Birla Capital. Other council members include leaders from Yes Bank, SBI, BCG, Ambit, and EY-Parthenon.

“Finance today is evolving rapidly with technology, AI, and globalisation,” said Srinivasan. “ISFB is designed to create professionals equipped with both financial and digital expertise.”

With over a decade of experience in professional education, Imarticus Learning has trained 7.5 lakh learners, placed 50,000+ professionals, and built a network of 3,500 hiring partners. ISFB builds on this legacy to develop the next generation of finance professionals — ready for both Indian and global opportunities.
