The Indian School of Development Management (ISDM) today hosted the third edition of Dialogues on Development Management (DoDM) 2025 at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi. Recognised as India’s foremost conference on reimagining leadership of social purpose organisations (SPOs), the event brought together over 80 speakers, 24 partners, and 20 sessions across four thematic tracks — decision-making, strengthening the core for social change, financing the future, and scaling social impact.

The conference convened prominent leaders including Mirai Chatterjee, Director, SEWA; Ashish Dhawan, Founder-CEO, The Convergence Foundation; Amarjeet Sinha, Retd. IAS and Senior Fellow, Centre for Social and Economic Progress; Amit Chandra, Co-Founder, A.T.E. Chandra Foundation; and Sonia Singh, Founder-CEO, SSA India. They joined a wide spectrum of nonprofit leaders, CSR heads, government representatives, funders, and social sector professionals to discuss pathways to strengthen leadership and amplify impact across the development ecosystem in pursuit of Viksit Bharat.

“A $10 trillion-plus economy is more than scale– it’s about building bold, resilient infrastructure underpinned by steady investments in human capital and innovation,” said Ashish Dhawan. “Scalable financial models that blend private-sector rigour with social purpose will be critical in unlocking India’s demographic dividend while meeting environmental goals.”

Reflecting on the event, Ravi Sreedharan, Founder and Director, ISDM, remarked, “To achieve the vision of a developed nation by 2047, growth must be underpinned by equitable access to capital, innovation, and opportunities that uplift every section of society. The future of Viksit Bharat depends on bridging divides and ensuring universal healthcare and inclusive progress.”

Amit Chandra added that development management would be key to balancing innovation with ethical stewardship. “Addressing inequalities requires adaptive strategies that synergise collaboration, capacity building and catalytic change, with compassion at the core,” he said.

DoDM 2025 provided a dynamic platform to reimagine development through management, with discussions ranging from governance reforms and resilient financing to data-driven decision-making and scalable impact. By fostering multi-sector partnerships and equipping SPOs with the tools to lead and sustain change, the conference underscored the critical role of development management in steering India’s inclusive growth journey.
