NSRCEL, the entrepreneurship centre at IIM Bangalore, marked its 25th year by hosting SummitUp 2025, bringing together more than 400 founders, investors, policymakers and ecosystem enablers. NSRCEL’s incubated ventures now hold a combined valuation of over USD 7.37 billion.

The centre reported that it has supported more than 3,178 ventures, created over 35,792 jobs and expanded its reach to 82 towns in the past year. The conclave featured five thematic tracks: DeepTech, FinTech, Climate, Social Impact and Women’s Entrepreneurship. Sessions included discussions on investment gaps, founder strategies and technology-led solutions for India.

Anand Sri Ganesh, CEO of NSRCEL, said the conclave reflected the organisation’s continued role in supporting entrepreneurship and innovation. In a keynote address, Prashanth Prakash, Founding Partner at Accel, noted the growing emphasis on collaboration and ecosystem partnerships among early-stage founders.

Speakers included Nishchay Ag (Jar), Ankit Mehta (IdeaForge), Srinath Ravichandran (Agnikul) and Anil G (Bounce Infinity), who shared insights on operational challenges, scaling and sectoral opportunities.

NSRCEL announced two key releases: Start Right, a handbook for aspiring entrepreneurs, and Impact Insights – Assessment, a report based on three years of data from 120 tech-enabled social enterprises. According to the report, 85% of startups strengthened operations and compliance, 95% progressed to their next growth stage, 60% secured alternate funding and 85% enhanced their business and revenue models.

NSRCEL plans to expand its innovation initiatives, establish a knowledge-driven entrepreneurial hub and introduce AI-enabled learning pathways to support entrepreneurs across stages, with a continued focus on inclusivity and global collaboration.
