The Department of Mental Health and Behavioural Sciences at Fortis Healthcare, led by eminent psychiatrist Dr Samir Parikh, hosted the Grand Finale of Psych-ED 2025, India’s largest psychology quiz, at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram.
Sunbeam School, Lahartara (Varanasi) emerged as national champions, followed by Navy Children School, Mumbai as first runners-up and Deens Academy, Bengaluru as second runners-up.
This year’s edition saw participation from 900 schools across 190 cities, with zonal finalists including Cambridge Court High School (Jaipur), Bal Bharti School (Ludhiana), Vega School (Gurugram), and the three eventual podium finishers.
Dr Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, managing director and CEO, Fortis Healthcare, said the initiative reflects Fortis’ commitment to raising awareness of mental health from school years. “Psych-ED has been a unique initiative that has pushed forward our vision of greater awareness and sensitisation towards mental health,” he remarked.
Dr Samir Parikh, chairman, Fortis National Mental Health Programme, added: “Mental health is a lesser discussed subject. Through Psych-ED, we are engaging with young people and creating a unique way of building understanding of psychology and mental health.”
The competition was supported by GD Goenka University, Project CACA, Rupa Publications and Adayu (a Fortis Group company).
